There isn't any way I can really put this kindly. I. Really. Fucking. Hate. Android Studio. This stupid piece of garbage is always fucking breaking, giving the most obtuse error messages, and is a pain in the fucking ass to deal with. So, today, I would like to spread genuine ill-will towards the Android Studio team. I hate you.
Randomly once, Gradle decided that something called Variation would no longer exist on my system. When I tried to reinstall it, no go. I tried to invalidate cache, no go. Like, piss off.
For some reason when I tried to move a folder (drag and drop) with 4 items, Android Studio started looking at my kernel headers? I thought I was copying like 4 xml files in a folder, what is this stupid thing talking about, "cpuid.h"? "longsoon.h"? WHY?
For as nasty this article is, there are some positives I want to say. I really, really like Jetbrain IDEs. One of the primary reasons, is that I can set the font of the whole IDE! Crazy right? The laptop I have is a high-res panel, so things, when rendered, tend to be stupidly small. But thats fine I guess, most people still use 1080p so I would understand if high-res monitors need more configuration out of the box. But too many applications I have used (cough cough, KDE suite and Eclipse) OFFER NO FUCKING WAY FOR ME TO MODIFY THE FUCKING FONT, SO I AM STARING AT MY SCREEN, 2 CMS FROM MY NOSE, SQUINTING AT THE TEXT. This really pisses me off especially due to my already poor eyesight, which is not helped by this garbage. KDE, maybe there is a way to change it, that I just have not found yet. But Eclipse offers absolutely zero solutions. So I am massively appreciative of Jetbrains for the flexibility of their accessibility. God bless you guys.
